EMIT NEWS Miss Janet Faucette Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Strickland and Jimmy attended a birthday dinner in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Dalton Batten near Wendell Sunday. The occasion was in hon or of Mrs. Batten. Mrs. Batten and Mrs. Strickland are sisters. Mr. and Mrs. George Braswell and children. Sue, Mike and Mitch of Roanoke, Va., spent the week end with A. D. Hinton, Miss Eve lyn Hinton and Mrs. Dora Bras well. Mr. and Mrs. Larry Lewis and Judy visited her mother, Mr. and Mrs. A1 Butler in Raleigh Sunday night. Mr. and Mrs. Leonard West and Cynthia of Raleigh were Thursday night supper guests of Mr. and Mrs. Sam Lewis. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Glover vis ited relatives in Selma over the weekend. Mrs. Mattie Driver and Roland Hales are patients at Rex Hos pital. Mr. and Mrs. Odell and girls visited her sister, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Narron in Virginia during the weekend. Among those visiting Mrs. Mat tie Driver and Roland Hales in Rex Hospital Sunday were the Therous Johnsons, the Frank Fau cettes and Joan, Janet and Peggy Faucette, the Roy Drivers, the Sam Lewises and the Coy Drivers.
